#Snowmageddon – Brace yourselves. Apparently we’re getting snow, and a lot of it. If you’re going to be stuck at home for days it might as well be with good food and a box of wine. Here are our 9 must-haves for Snowmageddon  – Carlino’s style. Get to our stores early so you don’t end up like this poor soul, fighting to the death for the last pint of Mama Carlino’s meatballs.

Milk

The Staples
The first signs of Snowmageddon and we are off to get the staples – milk, eggs and bread. If you’re going for it, do it up right. At Carlino’s we’re not offering the everyday, run-of-the-mill necessities, but artisan selections like organic eggs from Lancaster County, Merrymead Milk from a local, 100yr-old, family-owned dairy farm and our handmade breads that we bake daily in-house from scratch.

Meatballs

Meatballs
Stock up on Mama’s meatballs in sauce. We could eat these for days and let’s be honest you just might have to.

Mama Lasagna Combo (1)

Mama’s Lasagna
If you haven’t tried this lasagna yet, the snow storm is definitely a great excuse. Grilled chicken with baby spinach, gorgonzola and mozzarella cheese all in a LaRosa sauce. A half pan serves up to 9, so figure you’d make it a day and half with guests, or 3 days if you’re keeping it for yourself (we never judge).

Pasta

Pasta
Fresh, frozen, whatever you want, we have you covered in the pasta department. Almost any cut you can imagine, unstuffed or stuffed with delightful fillings. All our pastas are made from scratch in-house by hand.

Rotisserie Chicken

Half Chicken
It’s all about the leftovers. Have a roast chicken dinner and a sliced chicken sandwich for lunch the next day. Our half chicken is just the right size to last you through this wintery weekend.

Breakfast Foods

Breakfast for Days
Bagels, danishes, scones, croissants, the whole breakfast shebang. Stock up on morning pastries and you’ll be carbo-loaded enough to dig out your car on Monday.

Soups

Soup
Grasp a mug of soup in your palms and gaze thoughtfully out the window, and bam, you’re an Instagram star. Instagrammers love soup and we love making soup. Grab a tureen-full and take a new soup photo every day. Instagrammers also love consistency.

Caramel Apple Cake

Caramel Apple Cake
This cake COULD last you through the storm… but it probably won’t. If you don’t want it gone within five minutes, store half of it in our convenient packaging and hide it somewhere for 2am snack time.

Bacon Dip

Gruyere & Bacon Dip
Bears prepare for hibernation by eating three times their normal intake. We should all strive to be more like bears. Stock up on Gruyere & Bacon dip and get ready to hibernate with snacks constantly within reach.

It is 4AM Sunday after the 2016 Blizzard. Plow trucks woke me up. I have home made vegetable soup. But now I am craving your Caramel Apple cake. Now also wanting your bacon, Greyere dip. Carlino’s, you are the best.
