All holiday season our staff has been hustling and bustling, prepping food and slinging gifts. Their mantra is always \u201cIs this Mama Carlino worthy\u201d and \u201cWe\u201d is better than \u201cI\u201d. So we thought who better to ask what the top gifts are this holiday season then the Carlino\u2019s employee? Here are our staff picks this holiday, just a few of our favorite things. JJ\u2019s Pick: Galup Panettone<\/strong><\/p>\n JJ, Carlino\u2019s exceedingly competent Office Manager. You\u2019ve probably spoken to him on the phone. He\u2019s the one with the soothing voice.<\/p>\n Why the Panettone?<\/strong><\/p>\n I just really like panettone. My mom always bought one around Christmastime when I was growing up. This year she can\u2019t find them anywhere, and I told her she needs to get one at Carlino\u2019s!<\/p>\n Aviva\u2019s Pick: Taste of Carlino\u2019s Gift Basket<\/strong><\/p>\n Aviva, Carlino\u2019s newly minted Senior Graphic Designer. You may have seen her wandering the store squinting critically at displays.<\/p>\n Why the Taste of Carlino\u2019s?<\/strong><\/p>\n This basket has the Carlino\u2019s essentials: cheese, meat, oil & vinegar. I give this basket as a gift to show non-Italians like myself what the classics\/staples are. I like to cook and bake, so I appreciate\u00a0a good mix of usable ingredients and ready-made snacks in my gift baskets.\u00a0It\u2019s kind of the perfect gift.<\/p>\n Anthony\u2019s Pick: Fresh Ravioli, Soup, Artisan Bread, & Fig-Infused Balsamic<\/strong><\/p>\n Anthony, one of our Floor Managers based in West Chester. (Check out that beard)<\/p>\n Why these items?<\/strong><\/p>\n This is what I take home every night to make for dinner and I think everyone would love our fresh pasta and soup just as much as me.<\/p>\n Andrew\u2019s Pick: Homemade Cannoli<\/strong><\/p>\n Andrew, a Floor Manager in West Chester. He likes Cannoli. Like, a lot. You can see it in his eyes.<\/p>\n Why the Cannoli?<\/strong><\/p>\n This is my favorite item in the store. (Need he say more?)<\/p>\n Melissa\u2019s Pick: Chocolat Moderne<\/strong><\/p>\n You can often catch glimpses of Melissa running through our stores always tweaking and fixing. As our Purchasing Manager she is responsible for many of our fabulous non perishable products and is considered our authority on artisan chocolate.<\/p>\n Why the Chocolate Moderne?<\/strong><\/p>\n They are handmade by a small batch company in New York and they make super yummy artisanal chocolates. Plus have you seen how adorable this packaging is?<\/p>\n Laurie\u2019s Pick: Calginetti + Truffle Tremor<\/strong><\/p>\n Our HR guru Laurie wears many hats at Carlino\u2019s including helping customers and making sure we all get paid – which we all think is super important!<\/p>\n Why Calginetti & Truffle Tremor?<\/strong><\/p>\n I had never had them before I worked here. I didn\u2019t believe that the filling contained chick peas mixed with chocolate and dried fruit, but now they\u2019re my favorite holiday treat, especially right out of the fryer. The Truffle Tremor – who doesn\u2019t love truffle cheese?<\/p>\n Need we say more? Stop in and get all your gift needs covered. We can deliver gift baskets to your loved ones or you can hand them their gifts to see the looks of joy on their faces.
