The combination of cheese and spirits is as old as time and especially supported by the Trappist monks of the Middle Ages. In a heavy saucepan melt butter. Add cheese, salt, mustard and cayenne pepper. Stir until cheese starts to melt.<br \/>\n2. Stir while gradually adding beer or ale.<br \/>\n3. When blended, remove from heat and stir in egg yolks (vigorously). Heat gently until mixture begins to thicken. Don\u2019t overcook!<br \/>\n4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce.<br \/>\n5. Serve hot over toast, roasted tomatoes, asparagus, ham or bacon, or whatever you like.<br \/>\n6.
