Pizza Rustica (Easter Meat Pie)
It’s not Easter without serving Mama Carlino’s scrumptious Easter Meat pie that has our customers lining up for theirs each year. Her legendary recipe reflects old world traditions that transport you back to Abruzzo. Mama’s rustic quiche-like savory pie is baked with a rare combination of Prosciutto di parma, soppressata, salami, mortadella, fresh basket cheese, Parmigiano Reggiano and fresh ricotta cheeses. The tasty meats and cheeses are a perfect complement to your Easter brunch.
Carlino’s Savory Boneless Leg of Lamb Roast (pre-cooked; serves up to 12)
As featured in our Passover and Easter menus, we’re proud to offer a perfect traditional main course that looks as good as it tastes! Our butchers have selected the finest cuts of lamb and our sous chefs are busy prepping each roast with savory fresh herbs (rosemary and Italian parsley) and spices and studded with garlic cloves. Slow roasting allows the natural jus to permeate each roast for a memorable tasting sensation. The best part is we’ve done all the work so you can simply serve drizzled with our Lavender Tea Vinegar, a complex bouquet that complements the medley of herbs, or our sweet and tangy Apricot Jam, that lifts the flavors to a new level- and sit back for the accolades!
Please note: Whole pre-cooked lamb roasts are available in limited quantities. Please check with your closest market for availability. Plus, for your convenience, we will have smaller carved portions available in both Markets.
